Manufacturing with high technology is a driving force that may enable our country to differentiate and compete with developed countries. Since all the developing countries offer low-tech products to the market, there is no chance of competition and the prices are reducing as the quantity increases. Our country is not heavily lacking the necessary conditions for the production of high-tech products and for digitalization in production. In fact, during our customer visits, we can come across projects and products that surprise not only us but also our foreign guests. In this regard, we can suggest that university technocity projects work although they are used with little efficiency.
It is the scientists who develop science. This is a very important issue for the communities, which have a strong know-how, are visionary, and manage to fuse their internal dynamics rather than causing a conflict between them. But we are contented with using advanced technology only to develop high-tech products. Regardless of the current condition of the society, politics and economy, we engineers know that using only ready-made technologies will not be enough to move us to the level of contemporary civilizations. We need to motivate ourselves to “develop” technological products.
Due to innovations such as increasing importance of energy efficiency, as well as shrinking devices and new technologies developed in an environmentally sensitive way, new components are now appearing in every field and old products are being excluded. The development of technological devices undoubtedly includes the selection of components suitable for new technologies. Our engineers need to be brave for change, and managers need to be able to withstand the financial and temporal costs of this change process. I believe that spending enough time and motivation on R&D will be for the benefit of both manufacturers and our country. Because, we are materially witnessing how dynamically and positively the companies that manage to do this are taking their places global market in the best possible way.
