Robots are fighting the coronavirus in the subways in the Chinese capital Beijing. Autonomous robots that perform the disinfection process were introduced by Beijing Railways. With these robots that disinfect the subways by spraying oxygen-containing water disinfectant, the operations can be performed with minimal human contact. Autonomous robots, which provide better results than disinfection done by human hand, can reach small spots more easily. In this way, it is possible to effectively cleanse viruses and bacteria. 23 subway lines and 405 subway stations in Beijing are disinfected with this system every day.
