In the first week of Spor Toto 1st Division, Istanbulspor sets an example in Turkish football with the model it has created. With the play and win system imposed by the Club’s management, the club not only avoids possible financial losses but also brings the performance of the players to the highest level. The so–called ‘play – win’ system developed by Istanbulspor President Ecmel Faik Sarialioglu allows the club to survive without debt. Istanbulspor does not pay down payments on the contracts it signs with players. However, it guarantees that all players will be paid the full amount of the contract they signed. The salary under the contract becomes the “salary that the player earns by playing”. And since there is no guaranteed money, the players thrive to maximize their performances. The salaries determined at the beginning of the season are credited to the players’ account on the determined day.
