The robotic assistant, named as “CIMON” by Crew Interactive Mobile, has returned to Earth after spending 14 months on the International Space Station (ISS). The artificial intelligence-based robot CIMON was specially designed to communicate realistically with other astronauts. The robot, developed by Airbus and IBM in cooperation with the German Space Agency, has been programmed to behave like a “regular” member of the crew. It is also stated that the robot can find its own way on the space station thanks to the 12 fans included in its structure.
