Capri Island, Campagna Region in Italy – A paradise island, built on cliffs in the Bay of Naples, admired by the Roman Emperor Caesar Augustus Tiberius, and where you will also admire luxury villas, lemon trees, and magnificent narrow streets. The fact that the Roman Emperor Tiberius has built 12 villas on the island and lived there for 10 years until almost his death, turned the island into the administrative center of the empire. Nowadays, the island is often home to jet-set. The island of Capri consists of two towns, Capri and Anacapri. Capri and Anacapri are separated by “Monte Solaro” (Solaro Mountain). While Capri is livelier and more vibrant, Anacapri is ideal for those who want to spend a quieter holiday.
A place full of villas, decorated with layers of limestone, very reminiscent of heaven,
but not at all reminiscent of earth.
The English Author D.H. Lawrence
