Özdisan Does Not Compromise On Quality!

Continuous improvement of products and services to align with customer expectations and applicable standards is of paramount importance within the framework of a Quality Management System.
In the latest edition of this month’s publication, an interview was conducted with Arife Acar, the Quality Management System Manager at Özdisan Electronic. Acar explained the quality management approach at Özdisan Electronic in detail, revealing the importance he attaches to this system with the slogan “Always going further, always the highest quality service”.

What are your experiences as Özdisan Elektronik since 1980? How did you shape your growth in the sector with the Quality Management System? How did you contribute to technological progress in this process?

As Özdisan Electronic, we are Türkiye’s leading component distributor. Since our establishment, we have strengthened our position in the industry with our deep-rooted know-how and continuously improving Quality Management System. We have played a key role in achieving Türkiye’s technological growth targets by strengthening our worldwide connections, especially in various fields such as aviation, automotive, white goods and lighting. With our continuously updated supply chain and innovative solutions, we have increased the competitiveness of industries by providing them with the quality and innovative components they need, and contributed to their technological progress. In this process, we have always acted with the understanding of “reaching for the better” and have taken steps to meet the expectations of our customers and the industry.

How did you establish the Quality Management System as Özdisan Electronic?

We have established our Quality Management System in accordance with the ISO 9001 Quality Management Standard and keep it constantly updated. In addition to ISO 9001, we have also incorporated ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 27001 certificates.

Could you give information about the implementation of Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data in your company?

Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data entered into force after the transition process was
completed in 2018. As Özdisan, we made our transitions in 2019 by fulfilling the processes required by this law. We receive, process and store the personal data of our employees, suppliers, customers, visitors and employee candidates in accordance with this law. We manage all personal data under our responsibility in accordance with the rules by taking the administrative and technical precaution requested by the law and the PDPA.

At Özdisan Electronics, “Quality” is a responsibility for all employees,
not only for one person or a group.

What is your approach to Information Security Management System and what level are you at in this field?
We fulfilled the responsibilities of the ISO 27001 Information Security Management System, one of the prerequisites for the transition to the “Authorized Economic Operator (AEO )”, and received our certificate in late 2022. We have established a system that will protect the confidentiality, integrity and accessibility of our data at the highest level against information security and cyber security threats in all our processes and manage the risks that may occur. We fully fulfill adequate information security and physical security precautions in our system room and other units.
