Young Inventors Gathered at NASA JPL Invention Competition

The Turkish leg of the prestigious JPL Invention Competition, organized by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), was successfully held on December 9 with the concept of “Paper to the Basket” at the Dudullu Campus of Dogus University with Özdisan Electronic’s support. young brains together with science and technology in the field of technology and innovation. In the competition with the concept of “Paper to the Basket”, the brave and innovative young brains from 50 schools in Türkiye came to the forefront as teams and science hobbyists. The participants pushed
the boundaries of engineering and design by developing intelligent and creative solutions to real-world problems.

During the competition, plaques and awards were granted to the teams that came in with the most creative, the most unusual, the most artistic, the smallest and the lightest designs. Mustafa Yurttaş, the General Manager of Özdisan Electronic, emphasized the importance of this competition to strengthen the passion of young people for science and technology, and spoke about Özdisan’s contributions to training and development of young generations. “The Turkish finals of the NASA JPL Annual Invention Competition are part of our mission to teach students to think creatively and develop practical solutions to real-life engineering problems. The ‘Paper to Basket’ concept offered young people the opportunity to develop analytical thinking, design and engineering skills,” Yurttaş said. This competition stood out as a platform that not only improves the creative problem solving skills of young individuals but also contributes to the technological transformation in Türkiye.
