But today, most electronic circuit elements work with DC electricity. Therefore, AC electricity needs to be converted to suitable DC electricity. At this point, the AC\/DC converters come into play. If it is necessary to define AC\/DC converters, we can say that they are particularly useful for converting AC electricity into DC electricity. AC\/ DC converters electrically reduce high AC electricity to an AC electricity at a low voltage level, where it can be more easily managed with the help of a transformer in the first place. Then, rectification is usually carried out with the help of diodes in order to transfer the negative alternating parts of the fluctuating sinusoidal voltage to the positive.
