Panasonic also offers IP67 rated sealed tactile switches for applications that require waterproofing. These switches are sealed using a patented laser welding technology. This technology provides a better seal, prevent damage, and preserve the tactile feedback of the switch when compared to using a conventional film adhesive.
EVQ-P2 / EVQ-P9 / EVQ-3P2 Series Panasonic Tactile Switches
Panasonic’s EVQ-P2 / EVQ-P9 / EVQ-3P2 Series top push switch has external dimensions of 4.7mm x 3.5mm with a low profile. These series contain a middle push Travel distance of 2.5 mm and short push travel distances of 2.1 mm or 2.5 mm. Typical applications for these switches include portable electronic equipments (Mobile phones, Digital still cameras, Camcorders, Portable audio players etc.), keyless entry systems and automotive audio equipments. The EVQ-P2 / EVQ-P9 / EVQ-3P2 Series has an operating life of up to 1 million operations which is ideal for applications that require long life.
