Planar passivated Silicon Controlled Rectifier (SCR) Thyristor is designed to be used in applications that require bidirectional voltage blocking, high current starting capability and high thermal period performance. TO220AB sheath can be mounted as Dip (THT). The high current inrush capability creates the high current fluctuations that occur when the first power is applied, especially the current surge that high current drawing devices such as motors, transformers and capacitors encounter at the beginning. These fluctuations can cause damage. Therefore, the high current inrush capability is important to ensure the safe operation of these devices.
