17 thousand children under the age of 5 die from preventable diseases every day in the world, and millions of children are severely affected by wars. In Türkiye, 400,000 children cannot go to school because they work as agricultural workers, 14% of girls are married before the age of 18, and 422,000 children with disabilities cannot participate effectively in society and the education system. UNICEF strives to achieve the most basic rights of children in more than 190 countries around the world, especially for the most vulnerable children.
