Turkey is becoming an increasingly attractive destination for technology companies. The country’s rapidly growing strategic
location and dynamic business environment attract leading global technology companies to the country. The investments and efforts of leading local companies such as Özdisan, which has made a huge contribution to Turkey’s growth in the field of technology and gained global reputation, are playing an important role in this success. Özdisan contributes to bring leading global technology companiessuch as Nuvoton, which is the first largest micro-controllermanufacturer in Asia and the seventh largest in the world, to Turkey. Özdisan, which has been the largest distributor of Nuvoton in Turkey since 2018, has eliminated the issues related with the supply of Nuvoton products by adopting an “inventory based” operation method. The company also managed to operate the technical side with field application studies. During this process, Nuvoton expanded its product range by expanding to the European market with Özdisan and keeping itself up-to-date all the time. In fact, the company has acquired Panasonic’s semiconductor unit and incorporated its Battery Management Integrations (BMIC).

The Nuvoton representatives’ visit to Turkey enabled them to focus on the cooperation opportunities in the industry. This meeting was an important step to exchange ideas and establish potential partnerships. In fact, Nuvoton takes the opportunity to introduce its micro-controllers, audio chips, battery charge management integrations and converter integrations during these visits and easily reach the market through Özdisan, enabling the planning of up-to-date and original projects.

Nuvoton adopts the policy of manufacturing sustainable and lifetouching products. The company offers its micro-controllers to the global market with a minimum 10-year operability and suitable for operating conditions such as -40 to +105°C. It manufactures
purpose-built products in a wide range of micro-controllers from the 8051 architecture to the ARM architecture.
One of the new micro-controllers introduced during the visit to Turkey was the M2003 series, which can be competitive in
the global market. The biggest advantage of this series, manufactured in 32-bit ARM-Cortex architecture and having a simple range of functions, is its very competitive prices. The wide operation range of these products allows them to be used in a wide variety of applications.

The manufacturers aim to produce compatible products that can be constantly improved. In this process, the micro controller must have an inclusive feature. For instance, a product that uses the CAN protocol should be compliant with another product that also uses CAN protocol. For this reason, the manufacturers are heading for the more sophisticated CAN FD protocol. During the visit to Turkey, Nuvoton also introduced the M2L31 series, another micro-controller aiming to meet specific demands in the industry. This series, which contains two CAN FD unites, is more competitive than its competitors in the market. Also, this MCU in the Ultra-Low-Power segment, can operate at very low current values such as 500 nA.
Although Nuvoton mainly stands out with its micro-controllers, it also introduced some new audio chips and other converter integrations during its visit to Turkey. The recently launched N589 series, for instance, can be a suitable solution for the toy market in Turkey. In addition to being a micro-controller, the N589 series is also a Capacitive Touch supported audio integration that can play audio. Another product introduced by Nuvoton officials is the NADC series, which is a 24-Bit analogto- digital converter (ADC).
